Mombasa law court users joined the Makadara law court”s fraternity and Judiciary at large in honouring the life of the late Hon. Monica Kivuti.

Mombasa High Court judge, Ogla Sewe said “Concrete steps to ensure that judges and magistrates working within our courts have been taken and there is no cause of alarm,

on matters security all court users are safe”

The presiding judge conveyed a message of condolence to the Judiciary and slain magistrate’s family.

Justice Sewe outlined that they had met with security commands in Mombasa to ensure enhanced security realignments had been rolled out at the Mombasa law courts .

Mombasa senator Mohamed Faki who spoke on behalf of lawyers who use the courts of Mombasa called for increased funding by government to the Judiciary to support enhancement of security in all court premises across the country.

Hon. Kivuti who served as a Principal Magistrate, died days after a shooting incident at her work place on Thursday 13, June 2024.
