A Kenya Ports Authority employee attached to ferry services security department along the busy Likoni ferry crossing channel has suffered acid burns to his face in an alleged night attack.
Shee Famau was attacked at Al-Miraj area in Timbwani, Likoni while on his way to his house from work.
Police reports indicates that, Shee had at around 2130hr boarded a motorbike from Ferry and upon arrival at Al-Miraj area two unknown suspects who overtook them attacked him by throwing an acid on his face.
“Was on his way from work at about 2130hrs and upon reaching the areas of Almiraj on board a motorbike were being trailed from behind by unknown persons, the perpetrators sped off overtook them and vitriol attacked Shee Famau by throwing acid/ crossive substance on the face on the victim. He suffered acid burns on the face” a police report read in part.
The victim was rushed to Shelly Beach hospital in Likoni where he was treated before he was transferred to Aghakan Hospital where was admitted.
“He had his eyes dressed in bandages in the said facility and later transfered to Aghakan hospital for further management” police report reads further.
