Al Shifaa Media FC yesterday produced one of the best performances in their recent matches to end Mombasa County Assembly FC’s hopes to win at Ronald Ngala stadium.
Despite of the existing injuries within a number of their players, Al Shifaa were still able to overrun the Assembly team to record their successive stunning victory.
In what was a tactical master class by Al Shifaa manager Mwalimu Mwaguzo who also doubled as the team captain, the media team out-ran and out-thought their opponents, pressing them high up the pitch.
Mwaguzo, playing in the central midfield, gave Alshifaa Media an early lead with a 20-yard strike on twenty six minutes.
Substitutes Mwiti, Hurst and George Koi gave Alshifaa hopes to score three more goals in the second half before Carlos Ouma scored for Mombasa County Assembly a first goal from 18 yards following a poor a defense by Alshifaa Media on seventy seven minutes.
Mombasa County Assembly’s Hussein Kip Nusrat’s tireless efforts to score bore fruits after scoring through a penalty following a wrong tackle from one of his opponents few minutes to the last whistle of the match making it 4-2.
Ouma who was the most depended striker by the County team was outmuscled by Alshifaa Media’s Gattuso throughout the match making it difficult for him to help his team win.
County Assembly’s defenders were forced to deal withAlshifaa’s forwards and midfielders who were prepared to directly challenge them and it led to the mistakes in both the first and second halfs.
Al Shifaa Media’s forwards and defenders are of much greater quality than anything the MCAs have ever faced.
Mombasa county MCAs were not just beaten, they were torn a part by Al Shifaa, who gave further evidence that the County government’s team can be tested if you target their strikers.
