Police in Shelly Beach, Likoni,Mombasa are holding a 68-year-old man alleged to have defiled at least four children aged between 6 and 13 years.

Kazungu Kalume was arrested at Maweni area in Timbwani ward after parents of one of the girls discovered she had servere abdominal pains.

During his arrest, the suspect was found with two minors in his house which was locked from inside.

The girls revealed to their parents that the suspect had been defiling them since January this year.

Interviewed, the parents said that the suspect lured their children with money and pornographic videos which they went to watch in his house and warned them against revealing his act.

They said the suspect who works as a borehole driller was well known to the four girls as he was their  neighbors living in the next house.

The victims were taken to  hospital by police on Friday where they underwent a medical test.

Medical reports from Likoni sub-county hospital indicated most of the victims’  with hymens not intact, old scars in the vulva, white virginal discharge and Abdominal pains a sign of history of repeated Defilement.

Upon interrogation at Shelly beach police station, Kalume conceded to having defiled the Minors saying that it was the girls Who requested him to have sex with him

Likoni sub-county police commander, Timothy Muasya confirmed the incident saying investigations to establish whether the number of victims defiled by the suspect was higher, was ongoing.

Kalume is set to be arraigned in court in Mombasa today to answer charges of Defilement.
