Coastal Region Digital Taxi drivers embraces an advanced Transport Digital System for improved transport services.

Over 600 Taxi drivers from all four Coastal Region drivers’ associations met in Mombasa on Friday last week where they signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a transformative digital Tax App. known as YEGO Mobility.

According to the associations’ chairman council of leaders, Henry Mule, the App is set to play a critical role in solving many challenges faced by tax drivers such as low fares, high commissions, poor earnings, long working hours, lack of security, lack of insurance among other challenges which were hindering their businesses.

During the meeting, the Taxi drivers, said that Passengers have Increasingly been frustrated by booking a ride via an App and then having to negotiate the fare and

” If the higher fare was not acceptable, the Driver would cancel the ride or simply not show up, throwing the passenger’s plans into a disarray, leading to missed appointments, trains and even flights.
