
A Nigerian national has been arrested by Interpol trans national organized crime officers for the offense of exporting heroin valued at 1.9 million from Tanzania into the country.
Martin Ik was arrested in Nigeria by interpol police officers and extradited to Kenya where he was handed over to the Kenyan Authorities for further questioning.
It has since emerged that Ike jointly with others who are still at large on July 4 in 2018 unlawfully trafficked into Kenya by exporting Narcotic drugs namely heroin weighing 647.7 kilograms with a market value of Kshs. 1,943,100 into the country.
Ike was arrested in his hideout in,Nigeria and extradited into the country on Tuesday.
The suspect who was on Tuesday 3 of january 2023 arraigned before Mombasa Senior resident magistrate pleaded not guilty to charges to Trafficking.
The court ordered the suspect to be detained at port police station , awaiting the hearing on bond application on January 9, 2023.
