Two siblings,a brother and a sister, facing charges of stealing by servant have pleaded with a Mombasa court to be sentenced to one year in prison.

Samwel Mulwa and Marrietta Munyiva had been charged with stealing ksh.46,020 from their employer.

The two had on November 25 this year been arrested at Inuka area in Likoni Mombasa county for stealing eight-one pieces of milk valued at ksh.46,020 from a milk sale shop where they had been employed.

The particulars of the case being that on November 6, 2022 at cafe area within Likoni Sub-county Mombasa county, being servants of Felix Munya Shikuku the two jointly stole ksh.46,020 which came in their possession by the virtue of employment.

The two accused persons are now facing charges of stealing by servant contrary to section 281 of the penal code.

They were all released on a ksh.30,000 cash bail each.
